I AM MORMON PROFILE
http://mormon.org/me/CFWZ
ABOUT ME
Mormons go on missions to help other people come unto Christ. Missionaries can be young Sisters and Elders or Senior Couples and Senior Sisters. My husband and I are both served missions as young missionaries. Now that our children are grown and our youngest daughter is serving a mission we have decided it is time for us to serve again. It will be hard to leave family, friends, a lovely home and a growing business behind. But we know the blessings of serving a mission will be great. We feel the Lord is leading us to help other people come unto Christ. We want to share the Book of Mormon with others so they can know the power of this book in their lives. We want to teach about Living Prophets and how following a Prophet can bless them. Serving as a couple will build our relationship and help us draw closer to the Savior.
ABOUT ME
I love connecting with people through family history work and genealogy. This is a driving force in my life and I can't get enough of it. I love visiting cemeteries, reading family histories, researching names and connecting with distant cousins. Many family trips have been spent visiting places my ancestors lived and connecting with people I found through doing research.
I am a mother of seven and a grandmother of twelve. Family is very important to me. When I got married, I stopped going to college to raise a family. Being a stay at home mom was more important to me then finishing college and having a career. Children are only little once and I felt they needed me. When all my children were in school, I started helping my husband with our family business by doing the bookkeeping. Finally, I returned to college and I completed my college degree. One of the best days of my life was when all my children were there to see me graduate. I figure you are never too old to live your dreams
HOW I LIVE BY FAITH
I just do my best and live the commandments the best I can. I read my scriptures and pray daily. I want to follow the example of Jesus Christ and treat others the way he would want me to. I know when I do, I am much happier.
I love to search for my family by doing family history work. I like sharing the gospel with others because I want them to know the happiness the gospel brings. I have shared family history stories of my pioneer ancestors with my relatives. Through reading these histories they too have come to know the sweet blessings of the gospel.
WHY I AM A MORMON
My mother was not a member of the church when she married my father. He did not attend church and was a less active member. When their first baby was born, he had many medical problems. He only lived a month and passed away. This caused my parents to ask some of this life's most important questions. Where did we come from? Why are we here? And Where did my baby go when he died? The answers to these questions were learned when they attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They learned that their baby was not lost to them. They could become an eternal family and be together forever. Through study and prayer my parents came to know the Church was true. My father baptized my mother and two years later they were sealed in the temple. They received the comfort and peace only the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring.
Growing up I heard this story many times about our brother who died. We learned to call him "our little missionary." Just like my parents, I too had to learn, study and pray to know the truths of the gospel. I try to live by faith and not by fear. All of us are going to have hard times in life. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me get through those hard times and gives the peace I need. I believe that families are eternal and have a strong testimony of this principle and I know that my Heavenly Father loves each one of us and that he sent his son to die for us. Because of his atonement, we can return to live with him again. When I live the gospel I am happy and my family is blessed
