FLAT INSPECTIONS

Not much is going on here. We did a few flat (aka apartment) inspections this week. I don't know if other missions do these but they do them here. They never had them when I served 37 years ago. Every three months we have a list of about ten places we have to go and inspected to make sure the missionaries are keeping them clean. We let them know ahead of time we are coming so they can make sure their flats are cleaned. I think my sons would fail at this. I don't know what I am going to do with those boys. One of the main reasons we came on a mission was to allow them to all grow on their own. Don't know if it is working but we do have a little over nine months to find out. When we return they will not be allowed to live with us. They needed to be independent of us. It is hard to let go but it has to be done. It has been nice to just have Elder Allen and myself all alone without our children around. Kind of like we are on a honeymoon or something.

Well not much inspiring words this week. Transfers were this week and some of our favorite missionaries got transferred. :( But that is missionary life. Keep the faith and endure to the end. The church is true.

Elder Funk and Elder Kiss we met while do flat inspections in Rotherham.

  1. We did the same thing with the missionaries apartments. Let them know we were coming. I love the time my husband and I had together in England. It was such a wonderful experience for us. I don't know what couples would do if they didn't get along. Glad you are enjoying your time there and hearing how much you love spending it with your husband. It will be over before you know it. We wished that would would have served 23 months instead of 18.
