We had a great time getting to know each other and share what we do in our areas. Elder Allen and I work in the Sheffield area over two zones. Every three months we do flat inspections. During this time we do companionship study with the missionaries. The purpose is to get to know the missionaries and help them where we can. On Fridays we work in the Sheffield Family History Center. We go out teaching with the missionaries and help with new converts. This week we are helping plan a wedding.

Senior couple training - focus on Young Adults.

We need to welcome all people
Elder Ballard challenged the young single adults to bring one person into the church.
Reclaimed - everyone can be réclame through the atonement of Christ.
Get a list of your single adults in your stake.
When The Lord start directing you, miracles happen. Act on your direction.

7 ¶The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Old Testament, Proverbs, Chapter 1) reverence  of The Lord

The Lord gives wisdom, knowledge, and understanding—Walk in the way of good men.
1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. (Old Testament, Proverbs, Chapter 2)

Reverence is leaving everything behind to come serve The Lord. We are given little instructions when we came on this mission. Teach the same thing over again. All the time we talk about the heart.

5 ¶Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Old Testament, Proverbs, Chapter 3)

Just be patience and things will work out.

9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Old Testament, Proverbs, Chapter 9)

Not the wise of the world but when we teach wise people we are blessing others.

A sales person want something. Missionaries go out to give something away and expect nothing in return.

13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. (Old Testament, Proverbs, Chapter 15)

Write things down so you will remember them. Smile about them.
